Pound for a pint
LEWISTON — The Dunkin’ Donuts at 583 Lisbon St. will host an American Red Cross blood drive Wednesday, Jan. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. to help increase the blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood.
During the month of January, all presenting blood donors in Maine will receive a coupon from Dunkin’ Donuts for a free pound of coffee.
Blood is an essential component for patient care in area hospitals, and the only source of blood is a healthy, volunteer blood donor. About every two seconds someone in America needs blood, and one donation can help save up to three lives.
