SOUTH PARIS — Elmond E. Seavey, 81, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Maine Veterans’ Home.
He was born in Rangeley, March 18, 1930, the son of the late Charles Seavey and Leona Haley Yeaton. He served in the Korean War from 1952 to 1955.
After leaving the Army, he worked at Boston College as a custodian and as a security guard at the Boston Bank. He moved back to Maine and worked as a custodian at Wells Grammar School and Wells High School and at Noble High School in North Berwick. He moved back to North Paris and worked at Penley’s Clothespin Factory.
He is survived by his life-time companion of 47 years, Constance Davis of South Paris; son, Todd David; stepdaughter, Tammy and Gary Case of Tennessee; brothers, Willis and Nancy Grover of Chelsea, George Yeaton Jr. of Lewiston and Elwood and Barbara Yeaton of North Paris; sister, Joline and Richard Martin of Minot; granddaughter, Kristina and Gary McKenna; great-grandson, Corbin; great-granddaughter, Sadee; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Clarence Seavey and Earl Grover; and sister, Josephine Wills.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
