LEWISTON — Henry G. Comeau, 83, formerly of 93 Whipple St., Lewiston, died Sunday, Jan. 8, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Home.

He was born in Lewiston, July 8, 1928, the son of George and Marie LaPointe Comeau. Educated in local schools, he joined the U.S. Army in 1946. A veteran of the Korean War, he stayed in the Army, active and reserve, until his retirement in 1973.

Following his military service, he returned to Lewiston and worked for more than 20 years for Lewiston Public Works. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Prince of Peace Parish, he also belonged to Lewiston Senior Citizens and Horizon 55.

Survivors include a brother, Raoul Comeau of Lewiston; and a sister, Georgette Bolduc of Lewiston.

The family would like to thank Dr. Darlene Miller and Ron Ouellette for the care they gave Henry during his final illness.
