FARMINGTON — Merton C. Farrington, 82, of Jay, passed peacefully at Sandy River Center on Tuesday Jan. 10, surrounded by his wife and loving family.

He was born in Jay, April 15, 1929, a son of Clifford and Ella (Johnson) Farrington.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Beverly of Jay; two sons, Robert of Farmington and Donald and his wife, Valerie, of Jay; one daughter, Kathy McHugh and her husband, Wally, of Jay; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; and three sisters, Lucille Ramsdell, Marion Wright and Maxine Paul.
