Bedard Pharmacy now has two convenient locations: one at 61 College Street in Lewiston and a new, modern facility at 359 Minot Ave. in Auburn. Both locations feature a full-service pharmacy with a drive-up window and are open seven days a week. Bedard still delivers prescriptions, medical equipment and supplies at no charge in Lewiston-Auburn and the surrounding area. Free delivery has always been part of the way we do business.

Michael R. Nadeau, P.D.

President/Chief Executive Officer

Michael Nadeau grew up in the family business and has been working at Bedard Pharmacy since his teenage years. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy.

Today, as Bedard’s president and CEO, he is the proud owner and operator of this family-owned business. His commitment, dedication, expertise and visionary leadership have brought the company from a single, stand-alone pharmacy to a multiple-corporation health care enterprise, encompassing two retail pharmacies, a senior care pharmacy and a durable medical equipment and supplies store with a worldwide presence. Nadeau’s strong commitment to the local community drove his decision to build the company’s state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Auburn, Maine.

Nadeau is a member of numerous local, regional and national associations including the Maine Pharmacy Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, American Pharmaceutical Association, the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists and the New England Medical Equipment Dealers. His active participation in these and many other professional organizations keep him continuously on the forefront of industry issues and innovations.

In his spare time, Nadeau enjoys golfing, snowmobiling, ice hockey and martial arts. But he is happiest in his role providing quality health care services to the local community and beyond.

Steven Royer, R.PH., FASCP

Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Minot Ave., Auburn

As vice president and chief operating officer, Steven Royer is involved in all aspects of the day-to-day operations at Bedard. In addition, Royer is also a Senior Care pharmacist specializing in the medication-related needs of the senior population and those with chronic illness, ensuring that medications are the most appropriate, the most effective, and the safest possible. He joined Bedard in 1999 and has extensive pharmacy management experience in Senior Care Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, Infusion Therapy, and Durable Medical Equipment.

Royer is a Fellow of the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists as well as a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association and a past member of the Professional Advisory Board for Interim Health Care.

Royer also serves on the board of directors for Opportunity Enterprises Inc. and is actively involved with the MHA organization (Managed Health Care Associates). He is involved in lobbying in Augusta, and Washington D.C. on health care-related issues including the Senior Care Pharmacy Industry and the Durable Medical Equipment industry. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy,

When not at the pharmacy, he enjoys travelling with his family and attending his daughters’ sporting events.

Christina Hodsdon, PharmD

Pharmacist in Charge

Minot Ave., Auburn Pharmacy

Christina Hodsdon holds a doctor of pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Prior to that, she earned her bachelor of science degree in marine biology from the University of New England where she served as treasurer of the National Biological Honor Society. After graduating from UNE in 2000, she taught high school biology and physical sciences for three years.

Hodsdon is a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association and the Maine Pharmacy Association. She enjoys downhill skiing, scuba diving, and spending time with her family and friends.

Christopher Nadeau, PharmD

Pharmacist in Charge

College St., Lewiston Pharmacy

Christopher Nadeau is the fourth-generation pharmacist in the Nadeau family. Growing up in the family business, he has held numerous positions at Bedard including sales clerk, delivery driver and pharmacy technician.

Christopher holds a PharmD degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. While there he served as president (or regent) of the MCPHS chapter of Kappa Psi, a nationally recognized professional pharmaceutical fraternity. He went on to become the fraternity’s head chair member (or Satrap) of the northeast region, overseeing four collegiate chapters and seven graduate chapters. In addition, Nadeau volunteered for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program, organized numerous community service projects, and spearheaded several fundraising events to benefit Boston-area and worldwide needs.

Nadeau is a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmacists Association. He currently resides in Lewiston.

Joseph Stokinger, PharmD

Pharmacist in Charge,

Bedard Senior Care, Auburn

Since 2010, Joseph Stokinger, Pharm D., has served customers as a staff pharmacist at Bedard’s College Street location. He recently moved into the position of pharmacist-in-charge for Bedard Senior Care, now located at Bedard’s new facility on Minot Avenue in Auburn.

A Boston-area native, Stokinger graduated in 2010 from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston with a doctor of pharmacy degree. While there he was an active member of Kappa Psi, a nationally recognized professional pharmaceutical fraternity.  He served as professional affairs chairman overseeing philanthropic projects and later went on to hold a regional position.

Stokinger is a member of the Maine Pharmacy Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association.
