LEWISTON — The Lewiston Chiefs U18 hockey team improved its record to 1-1 last weekend with a 7-4 win in the front end of a home-and-home series with the Haverhill (Mass.) River Rats.

Lewiston spread out the scoring with seven different players lighting the lamp. Chris Rancourt, Devin Bilodeau, Eric Morin, Frankie Welch, Scotty Gagne, Austin Obie and Nick Perreault each registered a goal. Alex Gregoire, Bilodeau, Welch and Morin chipped in with assists. Josh Ehiorobo earned the win in net for the home team.

The Chiefs, sponsored by Rooper’s Beverage, play a doubleheader this weekend, visiting The River Rats in the morning before driving up to Concord, N.H., to play The Capitals in an afternoon game.
