WEWAHITCHKA, Fla. — Frank Paul Hiscock, 60, of Wewahitchka, Fla., died on Saturday, Dec. 31.

He was born in Farmington to Leander Warren Hiscock and Theresa Mary Williams. Mr. Hiscock moved to Wewahitchka, Fla., four years ago, after retiring as a senior tax examiner for the state of Maine, with 17  years of service.

Mr. Hiscock received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine in Farmington, after serving in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1978, stationed in Germany, his entire tour of duty.

He worked at IP in Jay, followed by a steel plant in Minnesota, from 1971 to 1972, Foster’s Manufacturing Co. from 1973 to 1975, Daniel Construction for Boise in Rumford from 1979 to 1981, Krasuse Wood Products from 1981 to 1990, and worked for the state of Maine until 2007.

He was a member of the Church of Christ of Overstreet. Frank loved to golf, fish and spend time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He enjoyed going to the movies, was a very competitive card player and a huge Red Sox fan. He left behind many loved ones who will love and remember him always.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara of Wewahitchka, Fla.; his parents, Leander and Theresa Hiscock; one son, Marshall Hiscock his wife, Crystal Hiscock and grandchildren, Logan Hiscock and Alana Hiscock; two stepsons, Matthew Pettengill and Mark Pettengill; two stepdaughters, Amy Dyer and LeisaYoung; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kirk Hiscock and Todd Hiscock; and three sisters, Jean Willett, Julia Romanoski and Lori Holman.
