The Funky Divas of Gospel, whose music is in the southern African-American tradition with a heavy R&B flavor, will perform Saturday, Jan. 21, at Lewiston’s Franco-American Heritage Center. The group formed 20 years ago in New Hampshire also performs traditional gospel songs, rock, folk and a cappella. “Our music is roots music. It is harmony. It is hard rockin’ and reflective. It is toe tapping, it is hand clapping. …,” the band states on its website. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for students and Seniors/$18 day of show.
