WEST GARDINER —  Conrad R. LaRue, 73, of High Street, West Gardiner, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Jan. 12, at his home.

He was born in Lewiston on April 20, 1938, the son of Omer LaRue and Rosa (Fortin) LaRue.  Mr. LaRue was educated in Lewiston Schools.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the State of Maine Bureau of General Services as a carpenter supervisor for 25 years.

He loved going to camp, hunting and being around family.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Surviving is his wife, Sue (Davis) LaRue; one daughter, Sandra LaRue, and two stepdaughters, Angie Lee Tarbox and her husband, Brent Tarbox, and Cecilia Watson and her companion, Jim Christie; one son, Michael LaRue and his wife, Liza; six brothers, Normand LaRue, Marcel LaRue and his wife, Carmen, Maurice LaRue and his wife, Betty, Paul LaRue, and twin brothers, Gerald LaRue and his wife, Deborah, and Gerard LaRue and his wife, Monita; six sisters, Rena Carpentier and her husband, Eugene, Irene Carpentier and her husband, Normand, Monique McLellan and her husband, Terry, Claudette Cloutier and her husband, Jerry, Doris Vincent and her husband, Greg, and Carmen L’Heureux; brothers-in-law, Bobby Davis and Mack Davis; sisters-in-law, Linda Denver and her husband, Fred, Kathy Campbellton and husband, Frank, and Jeannette Stackpole and her husband, Kenny; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
