LEWISTON — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, at the Ramada Inn.

A social half hour will be followed by lunch at noon. Installation of newly elected officers will take place: president, Richard St. Amand; vice president, Jayne Bickford; secretary, Leo Sirois; and treasurer, Paul Ouellette. NARFE State Federal President Lorraine Noel, Augusta, will conduct the installation. Noel has been federal president since April 2008.

Noel retired in 1996 with 20-plus years with the federal government, employed through the Department of Veterans Affairs at Togus. Her career was spent mostly in fiscal service, which included payroll, accounts receivable, veterans benefits and the newly created Medical Care Cost Recovery Program.

Noel became a member of NARFE shortly after her retirement and became involved at the chapter level, serving as second vice president, first vice president and president, and is on the chapter board as secretary.

Plans for the meeting were made at a Board Meeting held on December 13th, 2011 at the Ramada Inn. Attending were Richard St. Amand, Paul Ouellette, Leo Sirois, Roland Metayer, Claire Breton, and Martha Robinson.

Current federal employees or retired federal employees who would like more information about NARFE may log on to www.NARFE.org.
