Talk rescheduled
AUBURN — The talk by Jim Witherell, author of “L. L. Bean: The Man and His Company,” scheduled for Jan. 12 at the Auburn Public Library, has been rescheduled to noon Thursday, Jan. 19, at the library.
OES to meet
LISBON FALLS — Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting. All members of the order are invited.
Art club speaker
AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the United Methodist Church, Park Avenue. Bonnie Ross will preside.
The speaker will be local writer, Denis Ledoux. He has published several books, including “Turning Memories into Memoirs: A Handbook for Writing Life Stories” and “The Photo Scribe: How to Write the Stories Behind Your Photographs.”
He has conducted several workshops designed to help people approach the task of preserving their memories for posterity.
Hostesses will be Barbara Mitchell, chairwoman, assisted by Eleanor Truitt and Carol Woodward. All members are encouraged to attend.
CODA rehearsals
WINTHROP — The CODA Chorus is beginning rehearsals for the spring concert. A patriotic theme has been chosen for the music. CODA is under the direction of Ed Larson and has a new accompanist, Ann Hartzler.

Farm enrollment
LEWISTON — Androscoggin/Sagadahoc Farm Service Agency County Executive Director Marcia Hall reminds producers enrollment for the traditional Direct and Counter-cyclical Program (DCP) runs from Jan. 23 through June 1.
“Farmers in Androscoggin/Sagadahoc counties who are interested in enrolling in this program need to add this important deadline to their list of ‘must-do’ jobs,” Hall said. “Producers should contact the local county office to set up appointments.”
Annual contracts are required to be signed to receive program benefits. All signatures of producers receiving a share in DCP payments are required by June 1.

Dog classes
LEWISTON — The Great Falls Dog Obedience Club is starting the first six-week dog obedience class of the year on Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Lewiston. Dogs and puppies must be at least 3 1/2 months and vaccinated.
