JAY The Daughters of Isabella Circle 677, St. Rose of Lima, met Jan. 11. The meeting was called to order by Regent Denise Rodzen.

The Draping of the Charter was held for deceased member Francis Simoneau. Recitation of the Rosary was led by Chancellor Laurieann Castonguay. Recording Secretary Olive Couture read the minutes from the December business meeting, then she read thank-you cards received from the family of Semon Ouellette, Friends Together, Tri-Town Fuel Fund, Tri-Town Food Cupboard, Brad Moreau and Barbara Bush’s Children’s Hospital.

Rodzen read a letter from International Regent Christiane Chagnon, a letter from Maine State Circle International Emilius Goulet and a letter from State Regent Jackie Dostie about the 39th Pro-life March in Washington, D.C., on March 23.

The International Convention in Dearborn, Mich., will be held on Aug. 5 to 8. The theme will be “Radiate Your Faith in Friendship.”

There were no new applications for membership and two resignation from the circle. Rodzen asked Scribe Kim Couture to make a scrapbook of things the Daughters have done from October 2011 to January 2012.

Feb. 5 will be the Souper Bowl of Caring at St. Rose. March 24 will be the Daughters annual bean supper at the Parish Hall at St. Rose. The meeting came to a close at 9:30.
