LEWISTON — Robert G. Williams, 74, of Topsham, died Monday, Jan. 16, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Auburn, March 10, 1937, son of the late Forrest Williams and Elizabeth (Kinney) Judd. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 30 years at Bath Iron Works as a welder and painter.
Bob studied art at a young age and was an accomplished artist. He was also musically gifted and played the accordion. Bob was a skilled carpenter and mechanic. He built his own home and was always tinkering on a variety of cars, trucks and tractors. Bob loved animals, his pets and wildlife. His love of the great outdoors was evident by deeding his land for conservation.
He is survived by his stepfather, Lawrence Judd of Lisbon; an aunt, Jean Kinney of Winthrop; an uncle, Kelsie Fish of Millinocket; and numerous cousins from the Kinney family.
