LEWISTON — A funeral Mass honoring the life of Lillian Saucier was celebrated on Thursday at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul Prince of Peace Parish following prayers at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Monsignor Marc Caron celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. At the beginning of the Mass, Lillian’s children placed the Pall on her casket which commemorated their mother’s baptism into new life. The first reading was read by her daughter Dora Clark and the prayer of the faithful was read by her daughter Marie Jutras. The offertory was brought to the altar by her daughters Susan Wiers, Claudette Curran and Bernadine Couturier. Words of remembrance were expressed by her granddaughter Tonia Arnold. Following the committal prayers at the cemetery, Tonia Arnold read a poem and the song “Let Her Fly” by Dolly Parton was played in tribute to Lillian. Pallbearers were Steve and David Saucier, Roland Jutras, Timothy Saucier, Matthew and Nicholas Wiers and Jason Clark.
