- Retiring Auburn firefighter Lt. Brown, a 27-year veteran of the department, was honored by his peers with a full honor guard ceremony and was driven home at the end of his last shift in a fire engine. “This is a very emotional moment for me,” he said. “It has been my life and career for all these years.
