RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Barbara H. Fontaine was celebrated Friday, Jan. 20, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Morning Has Broken,” “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Fly Like a Bird.” The Old Testament was presented by her granddaughter, Sara Eastup, accompanied by great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mark and Madeline Marks. The New Testament was presented by her grandson, Zachary Allard, accompanied by grandson, Matthew Allard. Offertory gifts were presented by her granddaughters, Alison Crowe and Emily Crowe. The eulogy was read by her daughter, Ann Fontaine-Fisher, accompanied by grandchildren, Mackenzie Fisher and Danielle Fontaine. Programs were given out by great-grandchildren, Jacob Marks, Madeline Marks and Tillie Rose Reis. Spring interment will be at St. John Cemetery. A reception followed at 49 Franklin. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
