LITCHFIELD — Funeral services were held Saturday for Richard W. Hobart at Litchfield Plains Baptist Church in Litchfield. The Rev. C. Russell Thayer officiated at the service. Many memories and stories were shared by his sons, Keith and Karl Nuzzo, grandson, Tony Nuzzo, granddaughter, Morgan Nuzzo and daughter-in-law, Andrea Nuzzo. His daughter-in-law, Maureen Nuzzo read the poem “The Parting Glass” and granddaughter, Hillarie Nuzzo read John 16:22. Memories were also shared by Aloma Harvey and Nelson “Nelly” Gamage. Cippa Flaherty sang “The Lighthouse.” Other music selections were “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace.” The service concluded with “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Bearers were Karl Nuzzo, Keith Nuzzo, Tony Nuzzo, Tom Clary, Ron Marston, Rick Kemp, Morgan Nuzzo and Hillarie Nuzzo. A reception was held in the fellowship hall downstairs. Interment will be at the Leeds Center Cemetery, Leeds in the spring. Arrangements were by Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, Monmouth.
