RUMFORD — From 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, Black Mountain of Maine will host its first of four Free Ski Nights. The tubing park won’t be available, however.

The sixth annual offerings of free skiing and snowboarding evenings at the nonprofit resort are provided by donations from local businesses.

Upcoming Free Ski Nights and sponsors, include:

* Feb. 2 — Pine Tree Cellular and Advantage Insurance.

* Feb. 9 — Bangor Savings Bank and Med-Care Ambulance Service.

* Feb. 16 — Franklin Savings Bank.

* March 1 — Oxford Federal Credit Union.

Participants must sign in at the base lodge on arrival.

All dates will feature free skiing and snowboarding, with selected nights offering free tubing, as well. When tubing isn’t free, it will be available at a discounted rate. Both the Cafe and Last Run Lounge will be open.

Currently, the resort is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
