ROCKPORT — Craig D. Montminy, 43, of Rockland, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, at Penbay Hospice, after a year-long battle with cancer.

He was born in Lewiston, the son of Rose Carbonneau and Gerard Montminy. Craig attended Lewiston schools. He loved going on bike rides with his brother, Steven. Before his surgery in Boston last summer, he got to ride one last time on his brother, Jay’s bike. He was so happy.

He loved playing guitar hero with his nieces, Tori and Caitlynn. He loved going over to his mom’s for her spaghetti and meatballs and sister, Susie, for her chili.

He moved to Rockland in the early 1990s, where he met the love of his life, Faith. They have two beautiful children, Keegan, 10, and Arianna, 3. They enjoyed family time, playing video games, watching TV and just relaxing. Craig also has a son, Taylor, 10.

He is survived by wife, Faith; children, Keegan, 10, Arianna, 3, and Taylor, 10; mother, Rose Carbonneau; father, Gerard Montminy; stepdad, Al Carbonneau; brothers, Gary Montminy and Steven Montminy; sisters, Susie Allison and Cathy Rousseau; and nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Jonathan Grout, who’s been there throughout this ordeal. He’s such an angel. Thank-you.
