DEAR SUN SPOTS: Do you have any information on how one would go about donating funds to the family of Tyler Bisbee, who was killed in a car accident last February? Are there any benefit events being held for them? Thank you! — Rita Ouellette, rouellette1@centralmainecu.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots spoke to Jen Laliberte, a teacher at the Franklin School, 23 High St., where Tyler was a student. She continues to help coordinate fundraising efforts. Last year enough money was raised to get Tyler buried and put up a headstone.

Now they are working at to help Tyler’s parents, who are struggling with health problems as well as Tyler’s loss and need help with their home, which is in disrepair. You can reach Jen at 576-8808 or drop donations off at the school.

She said there are other fundraising efforts as well, including a raffle for a decorative well cover from Laura Hodgman, who has a booth at The Barn. Laura’s husband built the well. She is also selling bows to raise money.

For those nearer Oxford, Jen said Amanda at Daddy O’s, 901 Main St., 539-8100, is also helping with the fundraising.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have had for quite some time a baby memory plate for a Larry Austin Kayaloff, born in 1947. Online I see there is a person of the same name in the Lewiston-Lisbon area but have not found a way to contact him or his family.

If you are him or know him please call 897-4018 or 375-8500. We would gladly see him have it back if he would like it. It can be picked up at the Sabattus Antique Mall on Route 26, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day but Tuesdays. Thanks. — Dale, vzeeg60k@myfairpoint.net
