AUBURN — Charlie A. Emerson, 74, of Upper Street, Turner, died Thursday, Jan. 26, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.

He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 8, 1937, a son of the late Ralph and Edna (Mitchill) Emerson. He was educated in Turner and graduated from Leavitt Institute, Class of 1957.

Charlie held down several jobs with Agway, Ricker Hill Orchards, with his brother Fred on the family farm until 1995, and retired from Callahan.

He was a member of the Turner Fire Department for 41 years.

He leaves a sister, Marie Coffin and her husband, Stan, of Hebron; a very dear friend, Laura Heinrich of Lynn, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Fred Emerson.
