STANDISH — Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold auditions at 6 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 8-9, for its production of “Steel Magnolias.”

Tryouts consisting of cold readings from the script will be at Standish Congregational Church, 25 Oak Hill Road.

“Steel Magnolias,” by Robert Harling, is a touching comedy/drama about a close-knit group of six women from a parish near Natchitoches, La.

Show dates are April 13, 14 and 15; 20, 21 and 22; and 27, 28 and 29.
