JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Irene Bilodeau Gosselin, 88, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., went to the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012. She was born in Lewiston, where she resided until 2005.

Irene and her husband, Romeo, owned and operated Gosselin’s Rug Cleaning in Lewiston until retiring in 1992. She previously worked at Bates Mill where she earned a gold pin for more than 20 years of service.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish and the Ladies of St. Anne Rosary Sodality. She was also a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., where last spring she attended the Christ Renews His Parish retreat.

Irene enjoyed traveling with family and working in her beautiful flower garden.

Irene is survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Alfama (Anthony), Joline Bidwell (Brian) and Diane Lacasse (Raymond); six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Alice Bilodeau; her beloved husband, Romeo A. Gosselin; sisters, Yvette St. Laurent, Margaret Cote and Cecile St. Pierre; and her brother, Roger Bilodeau.
