LEWISTON — La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St. The center will be serving baked chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, bread pudding and beverage. The cost of the meal is $7 per person. After the meal, the patrons will be entertained by vocalist, Pauline Sabo.

Originally from Northern Maine, Sabo lives in Lisbon Falls where she maintains a private music studio, teaching piano, singing, and guitar.  She is a cantor at the Basilica of SS Peter and Paul where she directs the Prince of Peace Children’s Choir and also sings in the Schola Cantorum. She has been a singer of folk, jazz, religious and children’s music in a wide variety of groups and settings for many years.  She has recently acquired an interest in French song, particularly romantic ballads, and she will share some of her favorites in a medley of “Chansons D’Amour.”

Everyone is invited to attend La Rencontre and reservations can be made by calling Claudette Violette at 786-6936 or the center at 783-1585.
