BUCKFIELD — Citizens will have a chance to voice their opinions on whether the town needs another manager after Glen Holmes leaves office on Feb. 3. Dana Lee has taken over an interim town manager.
The Board of Selectmen open workshop will be held at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Buckfield Town Hall.
According to a flier, selectmen are seeking answers to questions like: Can Buckfield do without a town manager? What are the duties and responsibilities? What services does the town manager provide for the community? What amount of tax dollars would residents be willing to spend to put toward a town manager’s salary and benefits package?
Buckfield hired its first town manager in 1967.
