LEWISTON — Nancy Hohmann of Norway will be the presenter at the USM Lewiston-Auburn Senior College “Food for Thought” 11:30 a.m. luncheon on Friday, Feb. 10.

An equestrienne, her topic will be therapeutic horseback riding: the who, what, where, when, how and why. She will show several short videos of riders in action.

A life-long horse enthusiast and a retired French and Spanish public school teacher, Hohmann decided teaching therapeutic horseback riding would fulfill her retirement years with a combination of the many things she loved in life: working with children, teaching and horses. Hohmann teaches at the Riding to the Top Therapeutic Riding Center in Windham.

Senior College, now in its 13th year, presents the monthly luncheon program in Function Room 170 at USM LAC. The cost, which includes lunch, is $7 with advance reservation or $8 at the door. Reservations must be made by noon Thursday, Feb. 9, by calling 753-6510. Any late callers will be considered “at the door.”
