LISBON — The Lisbon School Department is accepting names for the public school pre-kindergarten program at Lisbon Community School. The program is for children who will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2012.
Children are selected for attendance in the program by a lottery system. To register, contact Stephanie Doughty at the LCS Office at 353-4132.
Parents will need to provide the child’s name, date of birth, address, telephone number(s) and parent(s) names(s). Class size is limited. Children who are not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list.
All names must be on the list by Thursday, April 5. The lottery will be held on Friday, April 6. Those who have already submitted a child’s name need not do so again. Parents will be notified of the results by mail after the drawing.
Students in the pre-kindergarten program attend school Monday through Friday. The morning session is held from 8:25 to 11 a.m. The afternoon session is held from 12:30 to 3:05 p.m.
The Lisbon School Department provides transportation for morning arrival and afternoon dismissal. Families must provide transportation for the 11 a.m. pick-up and 12:30 p.m. drop-off.
