LEWISTON — John P. Baker, 87, of Nichols Street, Lewiston, died Feb. 1, at Marshwood Living Center.

He was born in Lisbon, Oct. 6, 1924, the son of William J. and Eveline (Albert) Baker. He worked for several years at the Harding Plant in Brunswick and for most of his life he was a self-employed carpenter and mason.

John loved spending time on the beach and enjoyed the view of the ocean.

He is survived by his brother, with whom he made his home with, Roger J. Baker of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
