Pack Life, an organization started in 2009 to help reduce the number of pets being killed in U.S. shelters, has collected more than 1,500 pounds of cat and dog food along with miscellaneous supplies. From left Jonathan Bilodeau, Diane Stevens, of Oxford Networks, Cassandra Lang, Chris Manson, Pack Life founders, Maia, Pack Life Rescue, and Ann Nadeau of Oxford Networks stand behind the food-drive effort. The second annual Pack Life Food Drive utilized more than 20 drop boxes throughout Central Maine. Pack Life seeks to ensure that pets stay in homes by helping owners to feed their pets. The food is delivered to local food pantries to be distributed over the coming months. Pack Life will also maintain an ongoing supply for families in need and rescue dogs that are in foster care.
