RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for E. Harvey Manson Jr. was celebrated Wednesday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant. Mark Belanger was organist and Bernard Poirier was altar assistant. Readings were given by Brenda Garneau and Jay Gerrish. The eulogy was given by Jim Manson. Presenting the gifts were Gail and Phil Smith and Brian Manson. Music selections were “Ave Maria,” “Sleep Soldier Boy,” “America the Beautiful,” “Hosea” and “Because the Lord is My Shepherd.” The honor guard from Fr. Ambrose J. Barry Council 2091, Knights of Columbus included Edward Roach Jr., Rod Kuhl and Dane Curato. Delegations in attendance included the American Legion, VFW and the Chisholm Ski Club. Interment in the spring, with military honors will be at St. John Cemetery. A reception followed at the VFW Hall. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
