LIVERMORE FALLS — RSU 73 directors have accepted a job description for an adult education director.

The previous director left the district before the start of the school year to take another job.

The district has since developed a partnership with adult education programs at RSU 9 in Farmington and RSU 52 in Turner to share resources.

Superintendent Robert Wall has said it would be best if the school system had its own director.

Applications have been coming in, Wall said.

The job of director is to implement and maintain the adult education programs and services in compliance with the district, state and federal guidelines, according to the job description.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, three years of successful secondary school or adult teaching experience and certification as an adult education director of the state of Maine.
