LIVERMORE FALLS — RSU 73 Superintendent Robert Wall and Chairwoman Denise Rodzen will meet with selectmen Tuesday to give an update on a proposed school closing.

The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Town Office.

RSU 73 Board of Directors voted in January to close the high school in Livermore Falls. It is currently one of two campuses of Spruce Mountain High School. The north campus is in Jay.

A referendum vote on the closure will be held at the polls in both Livermore and Livermore Falls. A public hearing on the proposed closure will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at the former Livermore Falls High School.

Selectmen plan to continue budget review in a workshop following the regular business on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Earlier this month the board reviewed proposed budgets for Fire Department, Police Department, Public Works Department and Transfer Station.
