RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Delma L. LaPerle, of Portland and formerly of Rumford, was celebrated Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant.
Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Ave Maria,” “Be Not Afraid” and “Wind Beneath My Wings.” Readings were given by Oscar Freitas and Doreen LaPerle Gallant, and the eulogy was given by Devin Freitas. Words of remembrance were provided by Lisa Freitas. Gift presenters were Debby and Michael Kane.
Pallbearers were Sarah LaPerle, Adam LaPerle, Devin Freitas, Alyssa Freitas, Matthew Kane and Joshua Kane. Burial will be in the spring at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed in the parish hall at the church. Arrangements were under the care of Meader and Son Funeral Home, Rumford.
