JAY — The local Chamber of Commerce will hold its March breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. on Friday, March 2, at LaFleur’s Restaurant on Route 4.

If you are interested in attending this meeting, please contact the Chamber Office that includes the towns of Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls at 897-6755, by Thursday morning, March 1.

Breakfast sponsors will be Don’s Stove Shop Inc. of Livermore and Group Adams Propane Services of Livermore Falls.

The Member in the Spotlight for March will be Robin Beck of the Spruce Mountain Buying Club and Cooperative.

Committee updates will include membership, legislative, economic development, the 2012-13 Area Guide and upcoming community events. Phil Poirier of Protean Graphics will introduce the new Chamber webpage utilizing Wild Apricot.

The Chamber possesses a Customer Service Training DVD Lending Library, which is available to both Chamber members and the business community. Alison Hagerstrom, executive director of the Greater Franklin Development Corp., will give an overview of the library. The attendees will have an opportunity to view one or more of the DVDs for a refresher in the basic skills of quality service. This information is beneficial for anyone serving the public — banks, offices, restaurants, healthcare, sales and service, and more. This DVD Lending Library is stored at the Chamber Office and will be loaned out short term by calling Bonnie Perkins at 897-6755.
