OXFORD HILLS — Donations are needed for the eighth annual SAD 17 Head Custodians Chinese Auction. It is their largest fundraiser and the funds are for scholarships the organization awards to Oxford Hills students continuing their education beyond high school.

Donations can be dropped off with any of the head custodians in the schools of the RSU/SAD 17 district. If a donation needs to be picked up, call the local school head custodian.

The auction is Saturday, March 10, in the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School cafeteria. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the auction starts at 1 p.m. There will be a bake sale, 50/50 raffle, grab bags, hot dogs, chips and soda during the auction. Donations of baked goods for the bake sale can be dropped off on auction day.

There are more than 100 items to win including Christmas decorations, artificial Christmas trees, clothing, baked goods, cases of Poland Spring water, gift cards to many area businesses including Walmart, Hannaford, Home Depot, Lowell’s, Mallard Mart, Undercover Flea Market and more.

Items on the dollar table include a Winsor commercial upright vacuum cleaner from AmSan of New England, three quilts handmade by Lorraine Kennagh, $200 gift certificate for ABC Rubbish, a 60-inch Mitsubishi television from Aaron’s Retail and Rental in Oxford and five artificial pre-lit Christmas trees plus ornaments.
