BRIDGTON — Heather Brannen of Poland placed ninth and Lara Shepherd of Norway finished 14th in the Adult 4-Dog Speed class at the Mushers Bowl sled race Feb. 19.

Brannen finished the four-mile course in a time of 17 minutes, 20 seconds. Shepherd completed the race in 24:41.

The event was hosted by the Down East Sled Dog Club. It was sanctioned by the International Sled Dog Racing Association and counts toward the international series.
