FARMINGTON — Joyce Dubay of New Vineyard and her art students will be featured as Artists of the Month for March  at SugarWood Gallery, 248 Broadway in Farmington.

Dubay is a native Mainer who has been an art instructor at SAD 9 Adult Ed for a number of years. This exhibit is of her students’ accomplishments. Their works include drawings, oil paintings, watercolors, and mixed mediums.

Dubay works in several mediums and with many subjects, always in a realistic style. She is well known for doing animal paintings. She does commission work and will work on location. She has been drawing all of her life and has been painting more than 40 years, winning many awards along the way.

 Dubay is one of Franklin County’s artist/instructors. A life-long resident of New Vineyard she has taught many aspiring and accomplished artists. Dubay’s students work in a variety of styles and mediums. Students choose their own mediums, many going from oil to watercolor and then to mixed-mediums or pen-and-ink on successive projects.

An open house to introduce Dubay, her students, and their work will be from 4 to 7 p.m.,  Friday, March 2, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 3. The public is invited.

SugarWood Gallery is located at 248 Broadway, Farmington. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday.
