JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Murielle “Julie” Johnson, 70, died Friday, Feb. 24.

Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 10, 1941, in Auburn, the daughter of Lucien and Rose Arsenault Aubut. She graduated from Lewiston High School and worked in shoe factories and Hill Mill, until she moved to Florida in 1969, where she has been a resident for more than 40 years.

She loved birds and was committed to the care of a large number of them.

She is leaving her life-long partner, Thomas Ruiz; and also many cousins.

Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her mother and father; and her brother, Maurice Aubut of California.

A message to all who knew her: “Don’t worry, be happy, for God loves you.”
