I didn’t know Shane Wright, but I feel I must speak out. My heart goes out to the family and his friends.

I detest labels given for the cause of death. I guess some people need labels so they can sit in their ivory towers, passing judgment on someone’s death. It is so cruel and wrong when I know that God alone decides who will live and who will die.

Instead of making unkind remarks, why not celebrate the life of one who touched so many, and still is. Wright served in the military. He was willing to give his life for his country, and everybody in it. He would have given his life for those who sit in judgment of him. What did they give back besides mindless, unkind remarks?

When he was in his personal war, where were those other people? Did they ever just say “thank you for protecting me?”

There is an old Indian adage that says before a person is judged, walk a mile in his moccasins. People need to remember that during times like this.

His time was short, but he touched many lives and hearts, and that will live on. My thoughts and prayers are with those people and I pray that God, friends and family will help ease the pain.
