DEAR SUN SPOTS: The fabric/craft supply fair is returning to High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St., Auburn. This is the fair where you gather up all the fabric and supplies that you bought but never used, and rent a table and sell them to other crafters. Or donate them to the church to sell at their tables.

The fair will be held Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Table rentals are $20. For more information, call Judy McKinney at 753-0367. Please leave a clear message; calls will be returned.

The church yard sale will be May 5; please call Connie Ray at 782-2835 for more information. — Judy McKinney, [email protected]

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In reply to to the Feb. 24 letter offering cross-stitch supplies, I am the director of the Maine State Grange Women’s Activities. We do a lot of charitable work, and I also have a Junior Grange in which I am always looking for donated supplies to teach the children new crafts that they have never tried.

Thank you in advance for your great column and for the person donating, whether I’m lucky enough to get the supplies or not. — Karen Flagg, [email protected], 946-2016

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I saw in your Feb. 24 column that someone was looking for someone to repair quilts. You may add me to your list. I do quilting, alterations and also sewing. If there is anyone out there who needs those thing done, I can help, but I can’t do wool. It makes me break out. — Carolee Nash, Mechanic Falls, [email protected], 712-6471

DEAR SUN SPOTS: My name is Maxine (Levesque) Dennis, daughter of Diane (Martel/Levesque) Wilson. I own my own small embroidery/quilt shop in Sabattus. I am looking to do a quilt class for quilt donations to the local hospitals and elderly facilities.

I have spoken with Central Maine Medical Center, and they would love to receive these lap quilts for their ill patients.

I am going to hold a free class on Saturday, April 21. I have two types in mind that can be done in the day. I am looking for quilters who would be interested in attending or even just donating some of their own creations.

I may be reached at 212-9823. Thank you. — Maxine Dennis, [email protected]

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I need your help in contacting Paul McKenna. He was on Dr. Oz’s show Feb.8 regarding cassette tapes to help in weight loss. Could you give me a phone number so I can call him?

Also would you know if Sylvia Browne has her own TV show on cable? I appreciate all of your help and hope to get an answer in the Sun Journal soon. Thank you. — No name via e-mail

ANSWER: When Sun Spots was looking this up, she was very confused at first because there appeared to be two Paul McKennas. That seemed unlikely. Turns out he has two websites. The weight loss store for the U.S. is at www.mckenna.com. He also has www.paulmckenna.com; that store is for the United Kingdom.

You can buy his CDs/DVDs (there was nothing about cassette tapes; they are no longer commonly available in new products) at mckenna.com. It says on the site that they do not have a call center or telephone number. The only contact is through the website or via email at [email protected].

Sun Spots did not find anything about a TV show for Sylvia. She has a website, www.sylviabrowne.com, where she answers questions and posts videos.
