TURNER — The following classes at MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education will start the weeks of March 26 and April 2.

Jewelry making II: In this advanced class, learn how to make earrings, two-piece dangle, multi chain drop, elastic bracelet, cord ends-cord & beaded necklace, ribbon ends-velvet choker and memory wire bracelet. Tools for use during class will be provided. Select from sessions in Turner or Greene.

Rug hooking session 2: Discover this American folk art craft using hand-dyed wool. Students can complete a small rug during class time.

Beginners jewelry wire wrapping: Students will learn to make different clasps, bead cage bracelet and earrings, jump rings, wire charms, double wire looped charm bracelet and earrings.

Advanced wood carving: In this class intended for the more experienced carver, students will create a Civil War caricature. It will make a great conversation piece for home or office.

Comfortable in my own skin teen workshop: Teens will learn fun and easy techniques to reduce stress, lift their mood and enhance coping skills. They will learn to feel grounded and clear headed. Perfect for those who feel sad, have trouble sleeping or just want to be comfortable in their own skin.

Guitar playing session 2: Learn chords, scales, picking, strumming patterns, tuning your instrument and much more.

Hunter and gun safety: This State of Maine approved course requires 12 mandatory hours for certification. Children must be 10 years of age and, if under 16, must be accompanied by an adult. State law requires those who have not held a previous hunting license to take a safety course.

Ghosthunting 101: Learn the basics of ghosthunting and the paranormal, plus receive in-field training from experienced paranormal investigators.

Grow your own organic garden: Learn the basics of soil science, making and using compost, principles of crop rotation and how to incorporate green manures and manage nutrients in the garden. Discover how to tell the difference between cultivated plants and weeds, basic weed control and methods of natural insect control. First-timers to experienced gardeners are welcome.

How money works: Learn what the wealthy know and aren’t sharing. Avoid the eight common mistakes people make with money.
