NORWAY — Scott C. Billings, 70, of West Paris, died Monday, March 5, at the Stephens Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Rumford, Oct. 17, 1941, a son of Harry and Winola (Millett) Billings. He was a graduate of Stephens High School in Rumford. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, and also served in the National Guard. He worked for Diamond Match and several wood mills in the area. He also drove for Community Concepts.
Scott enjoyed reading, family gatherings, camping with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed campaigned for the Democratic Party and was a friend to organized labor.
He was married in Dixfield, Sept. 20, 1969, to Queda Holbrook, who survives of Bethel.
Other survivors include two sons, Scott Sr. of Milton and Aaron of Mexico; a daughter, Melissa Nickerson and her husband, Scott, of Plaistow, N.H.; grandchildren, Scott and Joshua Billings, Alexis Newton, Ethan and Elizabeth Nickerson; and two sisters, Beverly Brown and her husband, Gordon, of Bryant Pond and Fay Roberts of Norway.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Gordon and Lee; and a sister, Carolyn Brown.
