NEW GLOUCESTER — Rosanna Morin Tripp went to be with her Lord Tuesday, March 6, in her home, surrounded by family.
Rosanna was born May 26, 1945, in Lewiston, to Raymond and Ruth Morin of New Gloucester. She attended and graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School. On June 26, 1964, she married Ronald G. Tripp at Steven’s Mills Church in Auburn.
She loved teaching children about Jesus; her own, her grandchildren and many others in Vacation Bible School, Children’s Church, Good News Clubs and Five-Day Clubs.
After raising her children, she and Ronnie graduated from New Brunswick Bible Institute, New Brunswick, Canada, receiving a diploma of biblical and theological studies. They thoroughly enjoyed their three years of studies together.
Rosanna loved the ocean, even putting her feet in the water in the dead of winter, shopping, camping, art, lobster and sewing. What she most enjoyed was her family; family picnics, days at the ocean, attending all of the birthday parties and holidays, annually inviting groups of her 29 grandchildren to what she called “cousin camp” and just being together. In addition to these, she loved her friends and church family.
The inseparable love that she and her husband shared was only exceeded by their mutual love for Jesus Christ.
Rosanna is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronald G. Tripp; her six children, R. Gregory Tripp, Rhonda G. Denny, R. Melissa Winslow, Rachel M. Carll, Ryan G. Tripp, Ramsey M. Tripp, along with each of their spouses; her 29 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Rebecca Garey; her brothers, Carmel and Calvin Morin, and their spouses; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father; mother; and granddaughter, Talitha Morningstar Carll.
