LEWISTON — Attorney Michael Bigos was recently admitted to the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court.
He was one of a small number of lawyers from around the country admitted in open court by Chief Justice John Roberts and attended by all other eight justices of the court in Washington, D.C. Bigos’ admission allows him to argue a case before the U.S. Supreme Court, which is the nation’s highest court.
Bigos is an equity member of the Lewiston law firm Berman & Simmons, and lives in Auburn. He works frequently as “trial counsel” when lawyers outside his firm need civil cases prepared for trial. He is known for legislative advocacy on civil justice issues, safety policies, protecting consumers and presentations involving trial work.
Bigos is a “New England SuperLawyers Rising Star,” rated as one of the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in Maine.
