FARMINGTON — The Planning Board will hear a presentation on a proposed 32-unit apartment complex and review a request for expansion of Mosher’s Seafood when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday, March 12, at the Municipal Building.
Architects from AMEC Architects of South Portland will reveal plans for Brookside Village LLC, a proposed low- and moderate-income housing project. The development is slated for the former dowel mill property off Fairbanks Road.
Plans for a 12-unit condominium project have been revised to a 32-unit apartment building, developer William Marceau said. He and Bryon Davis are proposing the project on property they have worked seven years to develop.
In other business, Tawnya Clough, owner of Mosher’s Seafood on the Farmington Falls Road, is seeking the board’s approval to expand the business and create a pavilion on the property.
Her application includes plans to demolish a garage adjacent to the store and change its use from storage to food preparation and takeout. It would include adding a gravel parking lot for six more cars and a 24- by 36-foot pavilion on a cement pad on the property.
After demolishing the garage, a 24-square-foot structure for food preparation would be built to hold fryers, griddles, a freezer, lobster tanks and coolers.
From this new area, Clough would offer takeout food, including steamed lobster, fried clams, fried scallops, salads and french fries, among other items, according to the application.
