On Friday, March 9, Pleasant Note Coffeehouse will celebrate the sixth anniversary of its open mic and poetry slam. Since 2006, the free show has drawn people of all ages, among them singers, belly dancers, poets and rappers. The March 9 show is dedicated to Bill Giasson, a longtime open-mic performer who died recently. The open mic/poetry slam is held the second Friday of each month at the First Universalist Church of Auburn, 169 Pleasant St. Refreshments and children’s room available.
