AUBURN — Bedard is announcing the grand opening of Transitions at Bedard, 359 Minot Ave.

Transitions integrates the medical needs and comfort of cancer patients with image solutions such as post mastectomy supplies, bras, wigs, skin care and more. Transitions at Bedard is the only retail store of its kind in central Maine.

Among the post-mastectomy products carried are specialized bras with draining packs, stylized bras, and prosthetics. Transitions also carries Lindi Skin, a skin care line designed specifically for the needs of patients undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments and Eve Organics organic skin care and mineral makeup, specifically formulated to avoid toxic ingredients.

Transitions offers an extensive wig selection, including 100 percent human hair wigs and pieces as well as synthetic products.

Audrey Pleau serves as Transitions full-time image consultant and offers complimentary skin care consultations and wig fittings. She personally fits wigs and customizes hairpieces for men, women and children who are experiencing hair loss of any type, including mild or significant alopecia.

Pleau has attended numerous workshops and holds a Maine license of cosmetology and a degree in cosmetology from Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook. She will complete her bachelor’s degree in health and human illness at the University of Southern Maine in May.

To schedule a consultation or for questions about services and products that are available at Transitions at Bedard, call 784-3700, ext. 3005. Walk-ins are also welcome.
