TURNER — The all-female steel drum ensemble Chicks with Sticks will kick off the second annual Cabin Fever Concert Series on Saturday, March 24.

The group will play melodic and fun music from the Caribbean from 7 to 9 p.m.  at Turner Center Church. Refreshments will be served downstairs.

The second concert in the Cabin Fever Concert Series, from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 15, will feature several musicians who have performed in summer concerts at the town gazebo. A supper will follow at 5:15 p.m.

Among the musicians will be Pam Weeks, a member of bands T-Arcadie Jimmy Joe and the Jumbolayuhs; Dr. Becky of bluegrass band Pickers and Grinners; bluegrass group The Hemingway Brothers; and pianist/organist Phil House.

Donations will be accepted at both concerts in support of the summer concert series as well as maintenance of the Turner Center Church on Route 117 in Turner Center, where summer concerts are held when it rains. Summer performances will begin Tuesday, May 29.
