AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion Hall, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.
Tickets will be on sale of $5 for the Easter dinner to be held on Wednesday, April 11, at the American Legion Hall. Bingo will be played following the meeting and a bag lunch.
Forty members were present when the group met on Feb. 22 under the direction of the president, Helen McGuire. At the opening of the meeting, Chaplain Pat Donohue held a moment of silence in the memory of Wallace Dixon, who passed away on Feb. 17 at the Hospice House, Androscoggin Home Health, on Stetson Road.
It was reported that Charlotte Grant, a resident of Schooner Estates, is presently a patient at D’Youville Pavilion, receiving treatment for a broken shoulder suffered in a fall.
Trip chairperson Evelyn Sawin is taking reservation for her trip to Foster’s Lobster House, June 22, in York. Sawin may be reached at 998-4577 or see her at Robin Dow meetings. Nonmembers are welcomed. Price $55 includes transportation and dinner. The trip covers what is known as a “full day of entertainment.”
Attendance prize winners were Shirley Thieriet and Millie Brainerd; pot of gold, Merry Strout, Helen McGuire and Pat Records; and mystery prize winners were Lucy Cowles, Irving Grant and Phil Cyr.
