AUBURN — Faye Margaret Cureton, 65, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, with close friend Elaine by her side. Faye passed away from complications of a sudden illness.
Faye was born in Kentucky, June 3, 1946, daughter of Samuel Wesley Cureton Jr. and Doris Marie (McGrath) Cureton of Rumford. Faye grew up in Rumford and attended Stephen’s High School.
Faye enjoyed gardening, cooking, flowers and baking. She loved animals dearly, especially her darling beagle, Bonnie. She also delighted in the company of family and friends, who all loved her dearly as she was a kind and loving person. She was devoted and loved God with all her heart and enjoyed singing His praises.
She is survived by her mother, Doris Cureton of Auburn; four sisters and one brother, Donna Martin and boyfriend, Thomas Ames, of Auburn, Barbara and Jerry Ferland of Rumford, Joyce and Michael Beaudoin of Greene, James and Pearle Cureton of Madison and Mary Hubbard and boyfriend, Brad McKeen, of Canton; Faye is also survived by her three children, Patty Dravinskas of Salem, Mass., Stephen Cureton of Rumford and James McLean of Westbrook; her three grandchildren, Stephanie, Breanna and Stephen; one great-grandchild, Hunter; she is survived by many, including special cousin, Keith Foley of Portland, who was one of her best friends.
She will be dearly missed by all, and will always be in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Faye was predeceased by her father, Samuel Cureton Jr.; and her great-aunt, Evelyn Buotte, whom she loved like a second mother and referred to as “Ma.”
